Indian Camp Ranch view

Located between the tableau of Mesa Verde National Park and the purple prominence of Sleeping Ute Mountain, Indian Camp Ranch at Cortez, Colorado encompasses 1200 acres of beautiful juniper and pine forests that are home to the highest recorded density of Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi) archaeological sites in North America.

The Indian Camp Ranch Archaeological District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Colorado State Register of Historic Properties. The official designation took place on March 28, 2012, in recognition of this property's contribution to the heritage of the State of Colorado.

Exclusive, private, and protected, Indian Camp Ranch offers unparalleled views of the most pristine and culturally important lands in the great American Southwest. The Ranch is bordered by Canyons of the Ancients National Monument's 164,000 acres of scenic, silent canyons. On the other two sides are BLM forests and Ute Mountain Reservation lands, ensuring that no future development will ever mar the stunning views and quiet serenity of our residents.

Indian Camp Ranch has been featured in National Geographic Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times, as well as the History Channel and the Travel Channel.

Each parcel is at least 35 acres in size, and every home site has been carefully selected to highlight the views and maximize the privacy of our residents. Underground utilities, impeccably maintained roads, and home security and maintenance programs are in place to assure our residents’ comfort and well—being.

Driveways and building sites are already in place on each parcel, and tasteful rock entrances to each home site have been built to welcome homeowners and visitors alike to our close—knit community and the majestic backdrop that nature has provided. Ancient archaeological sites exist undisturbed on every parcel and have been identified and marked by professional archaeologists.
