Residents of Southwest Colorado enjoy more than 300 days of sunshine each year and four glorious yet temperate seasons. The area is known among meteorologists for its utter lack of natural disasters — no earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, floods, mud slides or wildfire infernos are prevalent in the area.

Indian Camp Ranch is located just two miles west of the City of Cortez, where winter snows are minimal, but nearby communities such as Telluride and Durango offer world—class skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
